Mia Phillipson recieved her PhD in physiology at Uppsala University in 2003 and did a post doc at University of Calgary, Canada. Dr Phillipson is now a groupleader at Department of Medical Cell Biology, Uppsala University. She was appointed Ragnar Söderberg Research Fellow in medicine, 2012 and Wallenberg Academy Fellow, 2013.
The laboratory of Mia Phillipson is focusing on defining the role and function of immune cells in inflammation as well as during regulation of homeostasis by using relevant disease mouse models and high resolution in vivo microscopy.
